I Will Survive
From: Journey Through Womanhood- Meditations From Our Collective Soul by Tian Dayton, Ph.D.
I feel determined to survive and thrive in this stage of life, determined to reinvent my life so that it feels as terrific at this stage as it has for the past two decades. I need to marshal my inner forces and re-center myself, I need to find my rhythm. I postponed so much of my own life, put aside so much of my own self to let the needs of others come first. Now it is my turn to tune in and find out what works for me–what brings me pleasure and satisfaction. My ability to see life from a spiritual perspective is a gift. It allows life to vibrate with meaning and purpose. It illuminates a deeper perspective on ordinary events. Each day I take the best attitude that I can muster toward my own life. Because I know I will one day lose my life, I am able to appreciate it as a gift.
I am grateful for this new day.
